Stream for Marimba is a constantly transforming sonic flow. It is based in all 81 different patterns resulting by the alterations and coexistence of two different notes within four repetitions. In this way I explore different properties of the space where the piece is performed, but also the rich sonic properties of the instrument itself. The transformations of attention within the sound is the main trope of the piece.

Natalia Alvarez – Arenas premiered this piece at Nutshuis – Den Haag on Saturday 11th of June 2016.

In the 24th of November 2016 the piece was nominated with the first prize at the composition concurs withing the TROMP international percussion competition performed by Jonathan Bonny.
